Bienvenue aux familles de Sunningdale!
It is an honor and a privilege to be the new principal of Sunningdale School. I look forward to being part of a school community where students, staff, parents and community partners work together to create a safe, caring and positive learning environment that reflects our shared values. Our Vice Principal, Nadia Leiningen and I wish to extend a warm welcome to all of our new families and students who are new in our community and to the Grade 2 students and families who are joining the Sunningdale family. We know that you are going to love Sunningdale and we look forward to meeting you all this year!
Ongoing communication between the school and home is essential to supporting your children’s progress and success. As parents/guardians, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher directly if you have any questions or concerns. Your involvement in your child’s education is vital. Communication is essential in the teaching/learning process. Addressing a concern or question early on will help to avoid misunderstandings.
We continue to communicate with our school community through the bi-weekly email communication on Fridays, School Messenger emails, our school Twitter account (@sunstingray) and our Sunningdale school website.
Take care of yourself and others in the Sunningdale way,
In partnership,
Selina Galvao & Nadia Leiningen

To report an incident online, students may click on the Report Bullying icon (home page) to access a reporting form.
Why was the tool developed?
Our reporting tool is intended to provide students with yet another way to safely report non-emergency incidents of bullying. Students are still be encouraged to talk to a teacher, an administrator or a trusting adult when reporting incidents of bullying and not feel that this is the only method of reporting available to them. The tool is anticipated to complement the many existing good processes and practices in our school related to student safety. The online tool is a confidential, not anonymous, means for students to report incidents of bullying behaviours. The tool will direct students to contact Kids Help Phone to report incidents anonymously or dial 911 if the situation is an emergency.
The form will ask for the following information:
Where did the bullying occur?
Who was involved?
What type of bullying are you reporting?
What happened?
Who has already been told about this bullying incident?
What is your name and email address?
What is the best way to contact you?
